We love to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Sturgeon Bay.  No matter the temperature, whether it’s 70 degrees or 17 degrees, we head downtown to watch the parade and have a few green beers.

Within Reach is the story of Emma, a woman coming to terms with her mother’s increasing dementia and the everyday challenges associated with it.  Inexplicably, she finds herself ‘re-living’ specific events from her past.  She soon wonders if her own sanity is slipping, and only her mother can help find the key.

  1. I don’t drink a lot of beer-more of a wine girl. But I enjoy a good shandy in the summer and always have a Guinness on St. Patrick’s Day. I add a shot of Black Currant liquor. It takes the bite out!

    1. I’ve tried Guinness but it’s just too strong for me:)

    1. I have some friends who have traced their lineage back. Their stories are fascinating but they’ve yet to visit Ireland. It is on their bucket list.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Joye says:

I like St Patrick’s Day because the Irish have a fun way to get everybody to embrace their culture and their pride. I am not Irish but I enjoy their happy attitude and pride in their culture.

    1. Joye,

The Irish clans here are awesome groups. They invite everyone to become Irish/part of the family for the St. Patrick’s Day parade and festivities.

  4. We had a Wolfhound and walked in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade every year for 10 years. I miss that.
