Someone is plotting against Shannon. Twists and turns galore in this 2nd book. Again, as in Valerie’s other novels, you can picture the characters and scenes in the book. Can’t wait to read Book 3 in this series. I would recommend reading this action packed and romance novel.

Nick is planning an extra special Valentine’s Day for Shannon, but then gets woken up extra early to go to the site of a murder. Ironically, the dead man is dressed in a Cupid outfit. The cause of death is not obvious at first. The detectives are confident an autopsy will help with that.
The day gets even weirder when a second dead Cupid is discovered. Spinelli and his colleagues are baffled. It looks like the Shannon/Spinelli special Valentines will have to be postponed.
The same narrator that voiced book #1, COVERT EXPOSURE, does a fabulous job once again bringing this story to life. The book is fairly short so you can devour it through audio and make your day lots more fun.
Shannon is sweet, generous and a lovely person. Nick blossoms in this story as he softens som more. You have to admire a man who goes undercover first as a Santa and this time as a singing Cupid. His singing escapades add some laugh out loud humor to the mix.
I look forward to more holidays with Spinelli and Shannon and other novels by the amazing author Valerie Clarizio.
