What have I been up to in general?
We spent Labor Day weekend at the cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with two other couples. Overall, the weather was as great. We visited two waterfalls, Bond Falls and Agate Falls. Though the hubby and I have been to these falls numerous times, we never tire of seeing them.
Then, we were lucky enough to see this little guy.
Lastly, I went short again! Thankfully, I can still pull my hair back into a small ponytail, my go-to hairstyle when not at work. I sent the ponytail in my hand to Locks of Love.
Well, that’s about it. Not too exciting:)
I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to.

Second, I’ve slowly but surely been working on the second book in the Preserver & Protector series. The first book is entitled Time WARped and is about a Veteran Service Officer who travels in time every Memorial Day to preserve his family’s decorated military history.
In book two, the main character is the father of the hero in book one. He too, travels in time to preserve their family’s heroic military history but he doesn’t fully embrace his ‘Preserver’ role as much as his son does. It becomes even more difficult when the person he loves most asks him to choose between preserving history as he’s destined to do as a ‘Preserver’ or change history, risking it all for him and the greater good, to make her happy. My dilemma is…I can’t seem to come up with a title for this one. I’m totally blank. I love to hear any suggestions you may have. If your title is selected you’d score a mention in the dedication of the novel!
To help with some ideas, here’s the cover and blurb for the first book:
Romancing destiny one moment at a time.
When Veteran Blake Cornelis visits his great grandfather’s Civil War grave, he is whisked back in time to Gettysburg, where his ancestor was a hero. His mission—to preserve his family’s decorated military record, because his cousin, Evan, is determined to steal the Cornelis heroism for his own family’s ancestry. Fighting Evan is demanding and requires unremitting vigilance. Fortunately, the gods have sent Blake an exquisite guardian angel to help him.
Ariel, a time travel Protector, is tasked on this journey with safeguarding Blake, and she vows to do that—at any cost. But the attractive hero from Wisconsin is unlike others she’s been assigned to protect. The intense attraction between them casts them into deadly peril on the battlefield.
Blake and Ariel are sent into other wartimes, and as secrets unfold they realize they must sacrifice all to conquer his evil cousin, for the Cornelis honor is not all that is at stake. The fate of the American people lies in their hands. But Evan is a formidable foe, determined to achieve his mission, and since he has nothing to lose, he’ll do whatever it takes to succeed—no matter the cost.
