This week I’m sticking with an excerpt from my novella, Cookies for Santa. In this scene Spinelli is getting a second chance with Shannon.

In one swift movement he spun in his chair and swept her onto his lap. Her green eyes widened but she didn’t resist. He leaned his head forward and brushed his lips lightly across hers. His heart leaped into his throat. He hadn’t fully expected the incalculable depth of intensity that swept through his veins the second her soft moist lips touched his. He needed a second.
